EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS IS NOWHERE
The surrealism of post-documentation is the irrational alteration of reality.
At the margins, fairs reveal their own unconscious. What was meant to remain invisible becomes language. The remnants of construction blend in naturally, as if they had always belonged to that landscape. In that gentle estrangement, in that suspended margin, new spaces and new meanings emerge.
Sometimes, like Neil Young, I feel the weariness of someone who has seen their own scene too closely. From looking too much, truth hides behind form and the scene turns into a set. The machinery of art becomes landscape, gestures repeat themselves, and the gaze wears out. This work is born from that distance, from the need to look again without owing anything, to find meaning in the remnants, beauty in what remained out of focus.
